Wikipedia says some guy in the 60’s, they knew what they were doing. Surprised it was both approved and hasn’t been changed in the last 50 years.
That guy was not the kind of guy I thought he would be… It’s still an odd design choice, that especially looks odd nowadays.
Although I’m not from the US, maybe it’s more commonplace over there in those orgs.
