He’s right though, as someone who has actually come close to it. We should take suicidal ideation and tries as something really serious and not to be joked about unless you already bought the toaster. It’s not just in poor taste, but it’s also childish. People with trauma sometimes deal with it through gallows humor. That’s not childish.
